Course Overview Thali* Demo / Tasting/ Cooking / Dine (or take away what you cook) Cooking Skills – None required, Suitable for – V/G/Vegan Not suitable for – Below 13** years of age and people allergic to nuts*** In this session you will be given a masterclass on various vegetarian dishes, You will have the choice of cooking two dishes in this class. Following are the dishes; - Onion Bhajiya (known as bhaji) or Vegetable Pakoras (Demo/ Taster and cook if wished) - Matar Paneer (Peas with Indian Cheese ((Demo/ Taster and cook if wished) - Vegan alternatives if needed and able (if not able alternative vegan dish produced). - Chickpea with potatoes (Demo/ Taster and cook if wished) - Aloo Ghobi (Potato with Cauliflower - (Demo/ Taster and cook if wished) - Tomato Dip - with pakoras - Tamarind Dip (made in advance as no time) - with pakoras. - Rotti or chapathi ((Demo / Taster and cook if wished) Accompaniments for your meal - Rice - Simple Salad (Indian) Embark on a culinary journey with our Indian vegetarian / GF / Vegan Thali cooking class at Esther’s Manna House. You will learn to create a traditional Thali, a plate containing a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes served alongside rice, Indian flatbread & side dishes. You will cook one or two dishes from the thali which you can eat in or take home with you. (DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR OWN CONTAINERS) . You will be given many tips as with all our classes to recreate any dishes to suit your palate making this an unforgettable experience. * Thali (also known as “Bhojanam”) is a plate with an edge (traditionally metal plate), in which many different dishes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are served & eaten from. A typical Thali comprises of main dishes such as vegetarian or meat curries, pickles, chutneys, rice, rotti/chapathi (Indian flat bread) and salad. **13-17 year olds must be accompanied by a participating paying adult. ***Nut Allergy FSA describes Nut Allergy as nuts belonging to tree nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, Brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts).
