Service Description
Course Overview In this session we will cook together dishes from Southern India which are full of flavours combining curry leaves, coconut and blends of spices. The course is part demo/taster and part cooking by the attendees. This session comprises of; Keralan Chicken Keralan Prawn Cabbage Thoran Moru Kachiathu Karalan Daal (lentil) Served with accompaniments Rice Rotti /Paratha (demo/hands on cooking) Salad Demo / Tasting/ Cooking / Dine (or take home what you cook) Cooking Skills – None required. Suitable for – V/GF Not suitable for – Below 13** years age and people allergic to nuts*** You will learn to create a traditional Karalan meal containing a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes served alongside rice, Indian flatbread & side dishes. You will cook at least 2 or 3 dishes from the above which you can eat in or take home with you (DON'T FORGET TO BRING CONTAINERS WITH YOU). You will be given lots of tips as with all our classes to recreate any dish to suit your palate making this an unforgettable experience. Note; - We do all the preparation (that is chopping before you come) - you simply bring yourself. - In your session you learn to cook not just for yourself on the day. You take away the knowledge and skills to cook for the whole family and friends mild/medium or hot variations of the same dish. - We only use freshly sourced ingredients and all fresh veg and meat are bought on the day. - Our ethos is to provide all attendees the confidence to cook and eat quality food and as much as possible we source locally (exceptions are the exotic ingredients and world foods). - You are free to communicate after your session for 4 weeks if you get stuck at any stage or have any questions which might help you - we simply want you to enjoy cooking authentic Indian food at home. - We provide cold and hot drinks throughout your session. So, come and have a fun filled cooking day with Esther - memories you make will last you many years to come. **13-17 year olds must be accompanied by a participating paying adult. **Nut Allergy FSA describes Nut Allergy as nuts belonging to tree nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, Brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
