Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking any of our services, including cooking classes and events, or making a purchase of our products or gift vouchers.

Bookings & Payments

Our cooking classes, products and gift vouchers are only available to book or purchase direct from us in our premises and via our website.

All bookings or orders must be paid in full and in advance prior to the order being processed.

We reserve the right to decline a booking and or order.  In such circumstances, we will return in full any payment made.


Cancellations

We are a small business and ask that you give ample notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your cooking class.

If you cancel up to 14 days prior to your booking date, we will endeavour to try to resell your place and if successful will provide a full refund.

You may allow a friend or family member to take your place, however please arrange this with us directly, allowing at least 72 hours notice before the class start time, so that we can account for any dietary requirements or allergies.

The following is a guideline of cancellation timescales and our refund terms:

Cancellation up to 2 week (14 days) prior = 100% refund

Cancellation between 13 days – 3 days (up to 72 hours) prior = 50% refund

Cancellation up to 2 days (48 hours prior) = 25% refund.

Cancellation less than 2 days (48 hours) prior = no refund

In exceptional circumstances we reserve the right to cancel cooking classes at any given time. We will try to give as much notice as we can, but sometimes such circumstances may be out of our control.

In such circumstances you may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.


Gift Vouchers

Our gift vouchers are issued with an expiration date. Gift vouchers not used during this period are void, no extensions are permitted.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and no cash alternative can be provided.

If lost, stolen destroyed a replacement will be provided at EMH’S discretion.


Dietary Requirements

Please let us know at time of booking, any dietary requirements, food intolerances, or allergies, you have. If another person is taking your place their dietary requirements must be notified in writing to us no less than 72 hours prior to the scheduled class or event date.

We will do our best to meet your requirements, however bear in mind that various ingredients and foods are prepared in our kitchen on a daily basis, so we cannot always guarantee an entirely allergy free environment.



Age Restrictions

For safety purposes, age restrictions may apply for some cooking classes and events. These details are made clear at time of booking, please ensure you check before booking to avoid disappointment.

The minimum age requirement for attendees in cooking classes is 13 years of age. However, for the bespoke and private session we allow more flexibility. This must be agreed with us in advance to avoid any disappointment on the day of class or event.

Children between the age of 13 –17 yearsare the responsibility of their parent, guardian or supervisor, and must be accompanied by a paying adult.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to any persons not meeting the above requirements.



Safety & Wellbeing

We reserve the right to insist that you leave the premises if, in our reasonable opinion, you behave in an unacceptable manner which causes obstructions and safety concern to other attendees.

Alcohol is not available on the premises and must not be brought onto the premises for consumption. Anyone under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to partake in a cooking class for safety reasons.

We advise that you wear comfortable flat shoes with closed toes, and long hair is tied back.

You are required to follow the operating instructions provided by your tutor for all kitchen equipment used.

We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage of personal items. We do not provide secure lockers, so advise that items of value are not brought onto the premises.

We follow strict Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) procedures in relation to the products and services we offer, from raw ingredients to final products, which are safe for your consumption.

Once food you have prepared is taken off the premises, it becomes your property.  Therefore, it is your responsibility to store and handle food taken away from EMH safely, to minimise the risk of food poisoning.

In the interest of Food Safety and Hygiene, animals are not allowed within the premises.


Complaints

In the unlikely event that you may have cause for complaint about any aspect of services and or products, a complaint should be made in writing (by email or letter) within 28 days.

To the extent permitted by law EMH will not be liable in respect of claims first intimated later than 28 days from the close of the relevant order.


Your statutory rights

This agreement does not affect your statutory rights.
