COURSE OVERVIEW Vegan Indian Thali* (Meal platter) ~ Demo/Tasting/Hands on cooking ~ Eat in (or take home what you cook with accompaniments! Cooking Skills: None required, Not suitable for – Below 13** years of age In this session you will be given a masterclass on various vegetarian dishes. DISHES INCLUDED in the session; - Onion Bhajiya (known as bhajiya or erroniously called bhaji) or Vegetable Pakoras - Chickpea with Potatoes (Aloo Channa) - Aloo Ghobi (Potato with Cauliflower). - Pea & Potatoes (Peas with Potatoes) - Tomato Dip - with pakoras (made in advance). - Rotti or chapathi Accompaniments for your meal - Rice Or Rotti - Simple Salad (Indian) YOU WILL COOK You will learn to create a traditional Thali, a plate containing a variety of Vegan dishes served alongside rice or Indian flatbread & side dishes. You will cook from scratch a main dish which you can eat in or take home with you (with the accompaniments) TIPS & TRICKS You will be given many tips as with all our classes to recreate any dish to suit your palate making this an unforgettable experience. Embark on a culinary journey with our Indian Vegan/vegetarian/Thali cooking class at Esther’s Manna House. End note (please read): * Thali (also known as “Bhojanam”) is a plate with an edge (traditionally metal plate), in which many different dishes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are served & eaten from. A typical Thali comprises of main dishes such as vegetarian or meat curries, pickles, chutneys, rice, rotti/chapathi (Indian flat bread) and salad. **13-17 year olds must be accompanied by a participating paying adult. (GF /intolerance / allergies must be notified to us immediately after booking for us to make alternative preps in advance) Bring two / three medium size containers.
